At Pawley’s Raw Bar, we focus our blogs on some of our more popular items, new items, cool drinks, and FAQs. Every now and then, we share a blog about something slightly off the wall or specific to one menu item. This month’s blog is going to be similar in that we are focused on items you will find on our menu, but the only thing they have in common with the other menu items is that you can find it all at Pawley’s Raw Bar. This month, our blog is going to focus on DESSERTS!

At Pawley’s Raw Bar, we offer three dessert options. All three are perfect representations of our location, our restaurant, and our passion for providing the perfect dining experience to every guest every time they join us.

The first option was created for kids but is excellent for kids of all ages! The name may lead you to confuse it with something you would pick up at your local fishing gear store before heading to the inlet to wet your line, but our Cup of Bait is not something you want to put on a hook and throw into the ocean! Quite the opposite, actually. It is hard to conceal our inner kid when we make this dessert. We start with vanilla ice cream and top it with crushed Oreos and gummy worms. This is the dessert our parents would let us eat when we were kids, and it brings a smile to our faces every time we serve it!

Don’t worry; we have Oreos in another dessert as well. In fact, it is a significant part of our House Made Peanut Butter Pie! We use crushed Oreos to make the pie crust before adding our velvety peanut butter recipe. Peanut Butter Pie often referred to as poor man’s pecan pie (don’t you dare pronounce that wrong!), came before the salted caramel craze began. People from all over the southeastern U.S. coast claim to be the creators of the Peanut Butter Pie. It makes sense, we grow the best peanuts in this region, and we know pie! Of course, we are too busy making the pie to figure out who really created it! All we know is that it is DELICIOUS and that our guests love it as much as we do! No, it isn’t a bunch of peanut butter slapped into a pie crust. Yes, it does taste like peanut butter, just much sweeter! Think cream cheese consistency, velvety texture, smooth, sweet peanutty flavor topped with whipped cream, all on an Oreo crust. Don’t worry. We will save you a slice.

Our last offering truly needs no explanation, and we wouldn’t be a true Lowcountry restaurant without it. Our House Made Key Lime Pie will make you want to call your mama! This traditional island classic originated in Key West in the late 19th century. A quintessential American dessert, Key Lime Pie is traditionally made from lime, egg yolks, and sweetened condensed milk. We serve ours with a graham cracker crust to compliment that perfectly tart flavor Key Lime Pie is known for. We know you are going to love it as much as we do!

At Pawley’s Raw Bar, you will find a wide variety of Lowcountry favorites, Raw Bar selections, and over-the-top Platters. But don’t get so wrapped up in our lunch and dinner options that you miss out on our guilty pleasure-worthy dessert items. We know they will please you as much as your favorite Pawley’s Raw Bar items do!
